While I don't really know if "catty" is a valid word in this situation, it seemed like the best description of the confrontation Saturday afternoon at Mid-Ohio.Two of the IRL IndyCar Series' female drivers, the always-involved Danica Patrick and the always-at-the-back-of-the-pack Milka Duno (occasionally pronounced Milk 'n' Donuts) had some sort of a tiff during a practice session at the road course track.
Or, as the Indianapolis Star's Curt Cavin called it, "an ugly exchange":
Danica Patrick's decision to confront Milka Duno about her driving today at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course led to an ugly exchange between the only two female drivers in the IndyCar Series.Kitty say meow!
Patrick went to the Dreyer & Reinbold Racing pit box after the morning practice to complain about her struggles to pass Duno, but Duno did not like Patrick's style. [...]
On a video shot by a friend of Duno's and shown to The Star, Duno told Patrick on several occasions to "go away." When Patrick didn't leave immediately, Duno twice threw a towel in Patrick's direction, prompting Patrick to use foul language before the minute-long incident ended.
What? Danica Patrick said some naughty words? Shizzam! And Duno threw a towel? Wow!
After the incident, Danica had cooled some and offered an explanation:
"I wanted to know if she saw me (and) it's hard to locate people once they get away from their car," she said. "I stayed behind the wall and I just wanted to ask what happened.Sounds reasonable, at least. Duno wasn't exactly as cool-headed about it:
"I don't like the show she likes in every race weekend," she said. "She can push the guys because they cannot do anything to her, but she cannot push me. We meet on equal condition (as women), and I know what kind of character I have.Ahhh.... broken English. I think Duno's trying to tell us that she just doesn't like Danica, hates the attention she gets, and if she had a fast enough car, she would totally wreck Danica on Sunday during the race.
"I know if somebody pushes me and finds my bad side they are going to get a problem."
Or in other words, Duno feels like every other driver in the series.
Can you imagine the possibilities, though? Duno and Patrick having knock-em-out fight in the sand trap after an incident would be the best publicity move IndyCar could ever have. I bet the safety workers wouldn't even break them up.
Sadly, that's not going to happen. But we can always hope for it.

I'm glad to see someone finally stand up to Danica and her spoiled little ways. Danica puts the "B" in......brat and one other word that comes to mind. I sure hope she doesn't decide to come over to Nascar anytime soon. What a poor role model for the young ladies who follow racing. Works for me....

lady driver in our age we cannot deny that she is also a hot head even toughi would not compare yet to a Tony Stewart type hot head. However it is not impossible that a little jelousy there has played a role in to the MILKEY GIRL driver response to DANICA. Who is MILKA DUNO? WHOOOOOOOOO? Well nobody knows, nobody has ever heard of. Who is Danica Patrick? I see many hands up to answer. AND THAN THERE ARE THE RACE FINISHES. DANICA has collected about a dozine of them so far and a win,( first ever from a lady driver).
We cannot deny that either. The milk girl can get any better than a top 20. Maybe that's what's spoiling danica ; you could
be right emerson. Hey the unions were created with the idea of
benefitting the many but that's just their motto, just their good and positive idea to get the mass worker partecipating don.
Just the way to let hear the worker what he/she wants to hear.
Just the way to fool the many and collect their union fee on their paycheck every week. I think you catched up to that already by now after i tryed to explain in the other file and if you did not , i'm sure you do now.

Give us a break Mike. To Hear Danica tell it, the whole track is hers. Any time someone races her hard, or makes her work for a pass, she gets pissed off. If a male driver acted the way she does he'd be in deep trouble all the way around. If her talent was as big as her ego, she'd be a hell of a driver. Patrick would do well to use Milka as her role model. Maybe Patrick is a good driver but she doesn't know how to combine her driving talent with being a lady. Milka IS a lady. I base this on personal experience at Homestead during the autograph signings.

Having now seen the video of the confrontation, it is obvious that Duno has as much a problem playing with the other children as Danica does. In fact, in this instance, I would say this was all Duno and her bad attitude. Go see the video for yourselves and tell me what any MAN would have done had someone thrown a towel in your face when you were asking a question.

After seeing the video a couple of times ,i'll tell you: IF I was in danica's place after that little beaneather throw the tavol at me
the water bottle would not still seat on the counter but it would smashed in to the milkey girl face and nose with all my strenght
and if the little bean kept up her team had to call the paramedics for sure. DANICA walked away like a diligent smart professional calm lady. That works for the role model likers.

FYI GEORGE DANICA has had 11top5's not 8; i said above a dozine, WHOOPY DO, WHOPPY DO, I EXAGERATE only 1 more ; a dozine was estimating not reality or facts.
There are now and there have been 37 drivers running in INDY racing every week for the last 2 months;NOT 13 and they were 17 not 13 .Only few times few drivers did not show up for lock of sponsorship and those drivers included SARA FISHER. NASA has been showing pictures of a lady in a green dress on planet MARS gardening vegetables. Were you her husband or boyfriend and you just parachuted down from the red planet? I wonder....
I never said that DANICA is a role model. I said that works for the role model likers.May or may not it's up to them, but for you to spill on the airwaves that THE MILKEY WAY OBNOXIOUS GIRL IS A ROLE MODEL it goes to show who is the real unintellegible and how bad MARS LOW PRESSURE ATMOSPHERE has affected your judgement. Danica is a bigger hot head than even Tony Stewart. You don't see any other driver challenging other drivers on camera like Danica. She gets away with it because she is a woman. If she was professional, she would speak to the drivers (Briscoe, Wheldon, Dixon, Duno, Kanaan, etc.) she has problems with when no one is around. Like the next day, or even on the phone a day or two later. Indy Racing needs to penalize Danica money and points, to let her know her brat-like behavior is unacceptable and is not going to be tolerated.
